The 339 summer service operates between Epping Station and Shenfield Station on most Saturdays and Sundays and Bank Holidays and selected additional weekdays. We prefer fares to be paid in cash please, but we can accept contactless payments, please tell the conductor if you wish to use a contactless payment method before a ticket is issued.

English National Bus Passes with the red rose logo are accepted for travel throughout route 339.                                                                                                            We regret Oyster cards and passes are not valid, nor any other ticket type not listed here.

We are participating in the National Bus Fare Cap Scheme funded by HM Government.                                                                                                                                   The maximum single trip bus fare on route 339 is £2 (lower fares are available for short hop trips).

All day 339 Bus Rover tickets are available from the conductor.

Combined tickets for the 339 bus and Epping Ongar Railway heritage train service are available from the bus conductor and on line at this link On-line Bus+Rail Ticket Sales Concessionary combined bus/rail ticket purchases must be supported by an English National Bus Pass which must be touched on the Conductor ticket machine on every bus trip.

Route 339 is mostly operated by rear entry buses operated by a Driver and a Conductor, please board the bus at the rear and take a seat, the Conductor will attend you at your seat. These are NOT low floor buses a 28cm step from kerb to platform is required and again from platform into the saloon. Buggies and wheelchairs must be folded. We regret unfolded buggies, prams and wheelchairs can not be accommodated.

Every effort is made to operate all services as advertised, however traffic problems, mechanical issues and other unforeseen problems may mean some journeys operate late, may not operate or may be turned short of their intended destination. No liability can be accepted for any loss caused by any failure to operate any service advertised.
